Pan de sal

After trying for the first time how to prepare this native and famous filipino bread, I decided to prepare it again but this time with a little less sugar and using olive oil instead of corn oil.

This is my recipe:

6 cups all purpose flour
1 cup wheat flour
2 cups lukewarm water/375 ml
1/3 cup olive oil/60 g
2 teaspoons yeast/15 grams
2 teaspoons fine salt
3/4 cup sugar/150 g
Breadcrumbs as needed

Using my breadmaker:

Water + oil+ 4 cups flour + salt + remaining flour + yeast + sugar

KENWOOD bread maker + program 10(1 hour and 30 minutes)

Prepare 2 or 3 rolls, 4 -5 cm thick

Roll over breadcrumbs

cut into desired shape ( see picture)

Preheat oven at 180°C for 10 minutes

Bake bread for 20 – 25 minutes
