Christmas cookies

I had a hard time trying to figure out the best gift that I could give to friends I care about. In the end, I found myself baking these easy to make but delicious cookies. A recipe given by an officemate. Maybe my friend will never fully understand the value of this recipe to me, she may never know that her mom’s cookie recipe have reached so many homes and delighted so many taste buds…

My friend’s cookie recipe:

ITALIAN VERSION:

500 GRAMMI FARINA
140 GRAMMI BURRO
200 GRAMMI ZUCCHERO
2 UOVA
100 GRAMMI DI ZUCCHERO VANIGLIATO
1 FIALETTA DI AROMA AL LIMONE (2 ML) O LA BUCCIA DI UN LIMONE
16 GRAMMI DI LIEVITO
5 CUCCHIAI DI LATTE

AMALGAMARE TUTTI GLI INGREDIENTI. L’IMPASTO DEVE ESSERE MORBIDO

LASCIA RIPOSARE PER ALMENO 2 ORE IN FRIGO
PRERISCALDARE IL FORNO A 200°C
CUOCERE I BISCOTTI A 180°C/8 MINUTI

*FARE ATTENZIONE Di NON CUOCERE TROPPO I BISCOTTI!

ENGLISH VERSION:

500 GRAMS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
140 GRAMS BUTTER
200 GRAMS SUGAR
2 EGGS
100 GRAMS ICING SUGAR
RIND OF 1 LEMON OR LEMON FLAVORING (2 ML)
16 GRAMS BAKING POWDER
5 TBSP MILK
MIX ABOVE INGREDIENTS WELL.
DOUGH MUST BE SOFT.
LET THE DOUGH REST FOR 2 HOURS IN THE FRIDGE
ROLL THE DOUGH AND CUT IT ACCORDING TO DESIRED SHAPES

PREHEAT OVEN AT 200°C

BAKE COOKIES AT 180°C/8 MINUTES

*CAREFUL NOT TO OVERCOOK THE COOKIES!
